Erica has been with Kids Up Front since 2011. Parents and students alike enjoy Erica’s unique and quirky style of theatre.
Erica is a theatre director writer and performer with a B. Performance from Theatre Nepean (UWS.) She has a passion for education in the dramatic arts and is devoted to teaching young people and adults the joys and subsequent skills of theatrical storytelling. She has been teaching acting and performance making across Sydney since 2012 including workshops with Shopfront Contemporary Arts Co-op, ATYP and Ashfield Youth Theatre.
Erica has written two plays for The Old 505 Theatre ‘A Feat Incomplete’ (2013) and ‘This Is Not Mills and Boon’ (2015.) For Kids Up Front she has penned dozens of short and one act plays for kids. Notable directing works include Timon of Athens (2013, 505 Theatre), and Metafour – Four short plays by Samuel Beckett (2015, PACT Theatre). In 2011 she was an ArtsLab Resident Artist for Shopfront Theatre and in 2015 was short-listed for the Ensembles Theatres Sandra Bates Directing Award.
