Gavin Brown

Gavin has been teaching singing at Kids Up Front since graduating with his BMus from the Sydney Conservatorium in 2015.

In 2018 he performed with Patti Lupone on her 'Don't Monkey with Broadway' world tour and has recently returned from New York where he performed the roles of Tamino in ‘The Magic Flute, Basilio and Don Curzio in ‘The Marriage of Figaro’ and sang in a series of concerts including an operatic gala at Carnegie Hall. He has also sung with a number of internationally acclaimed composers ranging from Hanz Zimmer to Nobuo Uematsu.

He is currently completing a Masters of Music Studies in Opera Performance as the recipient of the Donald Lionel Edgerton, the Bud Brown Memorial and the George and Margaret Henderson Scholarships.

Other recent stage credits include his operatic debut as Le Mari in Les Mamelles De Tirésias and Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni. He has also performed in a number of other roles including; Fiyero Tigelaar in Wicked, Warner Huntington III in Legally Blonde: The Musical, Fabrizio Naccarelli in The Light in the Piazza, J Pierrepont Finch in How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying and premiered the role of Tony Abbott in the new Australian Musical The Colour Orange
